Using this site means accepting what is below. It is short because a free tool with no account and no data collection does not need much. If something here is unclear, ask and it will be made clearer.
What you get
The tools on this site are free to use, for anything, including commercial work. No account, no license key, no attribution required. Output you produce with a tool here is yours, and using one creates no obligation to us.
That includes classroom and workplace use. If it is useful to you, use it.
What we claim over what you type
Nothing, and this is the one clause worth reading. Many free tools ask you to grant a broad license over anything you submit to them, which they need because your input genuinely reaches their servers.
Here there is no such clause because there is nothing to license. Your input does not reach us. We could not use it, store it or claim rights over it if we wanted to, and how we build tools explains how you can confirm that for yourself.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind. We work hard to make them correct, document the rules they apply, and fix errors publicly in the changelog, but we cannot promise a tool is free of defects or fit for any particular purpose.
Said plainly: check the output before you rely on it for something that matters. A contrast grid is a very good way to find problems in a palette and is not a legal accessibility audit. A calculator is a fast way to get a number and is not professional advice. If a wrong answer would be expensive, verify it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using this site or relying on its output. This is a free tool with no account and no contract, and that limit is the trade for it being free.
Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break the site, do not use it to break the law, and do not scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people. Beyond that there are no restrictions on how much you use it or what you use it for.
Availability
We do not promise the site will be available. It is a static site, so it is hard to knock over, and most tools keep working once loaded even if the network goes away. But there is no uptime commitment and no support agreement.
If a tool is ever retired, the page stays up and says what happened rather than becoming a dead link.
Changes
These terms can change. Material changes get a new date at the bottom and an entry in the changelog. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the revised version.

Written in plain English by the person who built the site, and accurate. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. If your organization needs something more formal, get in touch.
