Random name picker without repeats
Paste one student name per line, then pick without repeats until everyone has had a turn. A new round starts when the list is exhausted, when you reset the round, or when you edit the class list. Names stay in this browser, save only when you choose, and can feed the group and seating tools.

Fair pick means one turn each
A plain randomizer can call the same student twice in a row. This picker removes each name for the rest of the round and shows who has already been called and who is still waiting, so the class can see the rule working. A new round starts when everyone has had a turn, when you reset the round, or when you edit the class list.
One list, several classroom jobs
The same paste drives the group generator and the classroom seating chart. Saving is an explicit choice. Delete saved list removes it from this browser immediately. A share link carries names only after the hash mark, which browsers do not send with the page request.
A worked round
Paste Avery, Jordan, and Sam, one name per line, then pick. The first call removes that student from the waiting list. The second call cannot repeat them. After the third call the round is finished and the next pick starts a new one. Reset round does the same job early if a lesson ends mid-list. Edit the list and the waiting set rebuilds so a name you just added is not skipped and a name you just removed cannot still be waiting.
What this page will not do
It is not a spinning wheel, and it does not load a third-party widget to draw one. It does not upload the class list, parse a spreadsheet, or remember names across devices. Those refusals are the product: Wheel of Names alternatives states where a spinner is still the better tool and where a no-repeat picker is.
Questions
What does Classroom mode do?
Classroom mode hides site chrome, enlarges the result, and switches to a high-contrast board for a classroom display. It also removes every advertising slot from the DOM so a projected class never loads an ad. Escape or Exit classroom mode returns to the normal page.
Are student names uploaded?
No. The tools run in this tab. Benchvale does not receive the list, and the network gate fails if a school tool starts transmitting it.
When is a list saved?
Only when you select Save in this browser. Typing or opening a shared link does not save anything automatically.
When does a fair-pick round reset?
After every name has been called, when you select Reset round, or when you edit the class list. Adding or removing a student starts a new round so the waiting list cannot drift away from the names on the board.
Is this a spinning wheel?
No. A wheel is a different product, and this page does not embed one. Read Wheel of Names alternatives for that comparison.
Can I remove the saved list?
Yes. Select Delete saved list. This removes the shared school-tool list from local storage immediately. The group generator and seating chart use the same stored list when you choose to save one.
